My new book is coming out tomorrow!
Dear readers,
This month there is no typical New Frontier take on the state of finance and technology. Instead, I have some extremely exciting news to share with you, as well as a small favor to ask. I sincerely hope that as readers of this newsletter you will share at least some of my excitement.
Tomorrow my new book Big Tech in Finance: How to Prevail in the Age of Blockchain, Digital Currencies and Web3 will hit the shelves of all major book stores!
Can the Big Five – Google, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft, and Amazon – succeed in capturing the global financial system now that blockchain and decentralized finance are radically changing the way money works? In case you missed it, in the last edition of The New Frontier I have sketched out why this is the most important trend to shake banking and finance for years to come.
Early orders of the book are critical to give it momentum. Hence, I am grateful to each of you who has already purchased the book. For those who haven’t, I would be thrilled if you consider getting a copy today.
Another thing that can make or break the success of a book are early reviews, especially on Amazon. I would be thankful if you take two minutes of your time to rate the book and write one or two sentences about it.
One note for the many readers living in the US and Canada: Big Tech in Finance will hit the bookstores on May 30, but you can already place your pre-orders.
Regardless of where you are based, you can enjoy the promo trailer until the book arrives:
Big Tech in Finance is already gaining momentum in the press and fintech community. Top-notch executives from leading banks and tech companies have endorsed it. Ronit Ghose, Citi’s Global Head of Future of Finance, calls it “A deep dive into the fast-changing frontier of money from blockchain and Big Tech to Web3.” Bob Wigley, Chairman at UK Finance, says it is a “brilliant examination of the fact that it's not who owns tanks but banks that matters.” Praise is coming from the apex of the blockchain world as well: Lex Sokolin, the Chief Economist at ConsenSys, remarks that it is a “must-read for builders and operators looking to tame the disruption happening in the financial industry.” You can find their whole endorsements and that of many others under https://www.igorpejic.net/books/
Once more, thank you for your continued interest, support, and loyalty over the last years.
